God spoke through Isaiah to the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem, inviting them to receive His provision that is priceless

People who are thirsty should come to receive God’s everlasting covenant; His unfailing love promised to David

They should seek God, call on His name, forsake their wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts, so that God may have mercy on them

Although, they have been so separated from God in ways their thought and ways

God is sending His unfailing Words to them, it would prosper and accomplish God’s purpose, make them to produce fruit, and live in joy and peace

Where once were thorns, cypress trees will grow, both man and nature will benefit of God’s salvation

These events will bring great honor to God’s name, and they will be an everlasting sign of His power and love

On Paul and Barnabas first missionary journey, they visited Pisidian Antioch, different from Antioch of Syria where they had stayed for a whole year teaching the believers

At Antioch in Pisidia, Paul delivered his first recorded sermon in the synagogue

His message emphasized that God’s promise to David has been fulfilled in Jesus through his death and resurrection, and he calls them to respond

As Paul and Barnabas left the synagogue that day, they begged them to come again the next week, and at the following week almost the entire city came out to hear the word of God

His audience was made up of Jews practicing Judaism as well as Gentile who had converted to Judaism, but the Jews were jealous at the massive crowd, so they slandered and argued against whatever Paul said

Paul and Barnabas had to turn to the Gentles instead, and the Gentiles were glad and thankful to know that they have been part of God’s plan of salvation, and the message spread in the region

Then the Jews incited a mob and ran the preachers out of town
