People who give freely will grow more prosperous because of their generosity, while the people who withhold unduly will come to poverty, because of their stinginess
Holding back from giving does not guarantee the security of one’s resources but denies one the opportunity to gain more, even exposing such to the danger of becoming poor
The man who is more concerned about the well-being of the people than his selfish gain will receive God’s blessings
He has mastered the right perspective to money and resources, and thus trusts in his God and not his wealth, such will not fall
Some people hoard stock when they sense a coming scarcity so that they can sell at an inflated rate to make very high profits. Such persons are selfish, the people rain curses on them but pray God’s blessing on people who are selfless.
In the sixth chapter of the Book of Galatians, Paul urged those who receive instruction in the Word to participate in “all good things” that the teachers have
This means contributing to the material needs of teachers who are taking care of our spiritual needs
And further, that being trained into a self-sufficient maturity, they should enter a generous common life with those who have taught them
Furthermore, no one makes a fool of God; each man will harvest what he plants
Those who live only to satisfy their sinful nature will reap destruction, in the present life and the age to come, but those who live to please the Spirit will have everlasting life from the Spirit
Believers should not be tired of good doing. If they continue in this, they will they reap the harvest at the right time
In addition, we should be sensitive to the opportunity to do good to everyone, especially to those in the family of faith
