After the flood, God instructed Noah and his family to leave the Ark and release all the animals so they could multiply throughout the earth.
Noah decided to build an altar for God, and he offered a burnt offering on it— a sacrifice consumed by fire.
This was not instructed. It was his selfless inclination to offer a sacrifice to God, reflecting gratitude and generosity as he sacrificed from every clean animal and bird that entered the Ark.
God smelled the pleasing aroma, and it was acceptable.

God, however, promised an enduring time and seasons as long as the earth remains.
Jesus taught his disciples how to handle wealth, stating that the little flock should not fear, for it is the Father’s good pleasure to share his kingdom with them.

They must be like servants waiting for their master’s return, dressed and active for service, with their lamps continuously burning
Again, the coming of the master will be like a thief at night, implying a time no one expects
Therefore, blessed are those whom the master finds awake and watching when he arrives; they will be rewarded
All must be ready, all the time
