Micah whose name means “who is like Jehovah” is one of the eight-century prophets and a younger contemporary of Isaiah
In this passage, Micah predicts the future of hope and restoration, using the phrases “in the last days” and “in that day”
“In the last days, the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be on the highest of all mountains. It will be raised higher than the hills. There will be a steady stream of people going there”.
This prophecy can be said to have found a partial fulfillment at the rebuilding of the temple, yet would find a much more intense fulfillment in the heaven Mount Zion which the church leads to.
Many nations will run to the God of Jacob to learn the law and his ways so that they may walk in his paths
Though Israel would be exiled, the Lord would restore them and there will be peace and prosperity again
Paul in his letter to Timothy gave instructions for personal and corporate worship, urging that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be offered to God for all people
Prayers in their various forms and aims which serve as a foundation for worship should be made for believers and unbelievers alike, especially for kings and all those in authority
By doing so, it will promote quiet and peaceful life, godliness, and holiness within the society.
This is also pleasing to God who wants everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth
This truth is that there is one who serves as the bridge that brings God and humans together and that man is Christ Jesus, to whom Paul testifies being chosen as a herald, an Apostle, and a Teacher for the Gentiles
Hence, the church should always pray, lifting holy hands, without anger or argument
