King Nebuchadnezzar published writing to all people of the earth, narrating his experience of how God humbled him
This time Nebuchadnezzar had not only conquered Israel and Jerusalem but had established the greatest Empire the East has ever produced
In his dream, he saw a tree standing in the middle of the land, so large that its top touched the sky and was visible to the ends of the earth
It provides food, shelter, and comfort for people and animals but a messenger of God came with a message from God that it should be cut down
Daniel interpreted the tree to be King Nebuchadnezzar, for he has alluded his success to his strength
God wants to humble Nebuchadnezzar, and make him acknowledge the Most High as sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes
All this happened. The king acknowledged and praised God
False teachers had intruded on the Corinthian church and they sought to make Paul’s convert to stop believing his message, so they attacked the genuineness of his apostolic authority.
So in defense of his ministry, Paul has no option but to reluctantly boast about his encounter with Christ, about a vision the Lord had given him
Paul was very concerned about the Corinthian church; he wanted them, not their money
Paul debunked being crafty and trapping the church into lies, he and Titus his son never took advantage of them
Paul reaffirms that all their ministerial effort is to help the church
He is also afraid he will find among them quarreling, jealousy, hot tempers, selfishness, insults, gossip, pride, and disorder
Yet he is willing to grieve over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin, and eagerness for lustful pleasure they have indulged
